1. bad hair day 不如意的一天;不愉快的一天
Bad就是不好;hair是头发，bad hair day的字面意思就是：这一天的头发不好。这也符合这个说法的原意。刚开始的时候，bad hair day是年轻女子用来形容她们的头发。有的时候，由于刮风，或者天气潮湿而无法维持她们原来做得很好的发型，这就是bad hair day。
可是，过去十几年来，这个说法变成了一个习惯用语，跟头发毫无关系了。男男女女都可以用bad hair day来表示那一天他什么事情都不顺利。我们大家有的时候都遇到这种日子的。
